Christmas Decor Provides Free Services to Military Family for the Holiday Season

PR Newswire

Since 2003, the franchise's Decorated Families Program has added to the spirit of Christmas.

AUGUSTA, Ga., Dec. 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The magic of the holiday season is what Christmas Decor, the nation's largest holiday decorating service franchise, specializes in. Part of the spirit of Christmas is giving, and every year the brand embodies that charitable spirit by donating a free installation service to a local military family, transforming their home into a winter wonderland.

The team at Christmas Decor of Augusta decorated the Redding family's house in North Augusta on Wednesday, December 7. The family receivedlighting and decorations valued at $2,000 and a no-cost installation service completed by the Christmas Decor team.

Matt Redding, a combat-wounded veteran, was nominated to receive these free holiday decorations. He has PTSD, a traumatic brain and multiple sclerosis, which his service dog, Dug, helps with. Matt is medically retired, so decorating for the holidays can be physically and financially difficult. He lives with his wife, Felicia, who is a 1st grade teacher at a local school, and their 11 year old son, William, who has autism.

The installation process took a couple hours, and once the sun went down, the Christmas Decor team will lit up the display for the owners and all of the neighborhood to see.

The system-wide Decorated Family Program is recognized by many of Christmas Decor's 350-plus franchises across the U.S. and Canada. The growing brand receives more nominations each year and can select more deserving candidates as "Decorated Families."
Kyle Flanagan, the owner of the Augusta franchise, is proud and passionate about the program. He's glad to have a team that supports philanthropic efforts and dedicates its time to adding joy to the lives of a military family for the holiday season.

"The team is out here totally on their own time, not getting paid for it, and I appreciate them. We all really want to give back," said Flanagan. "We hope it shows how we care about the people in this community and stand behind the veterans. We're really appreciative of all they do, and this is a token of respect."
